Despite a brief appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show to launch the Brothers Grimsby movie, Sacha Baron Cohen has reiterated (what most of us already know) that he will not be producing any more material for Ali G, Borat or Bruno.

Ahead of the Golden Globes in LA, Sacha said: “I miss those roles but cannot do them as I have responsibility for my family.

“Being in a wild situation when you’re deep in character, and nobody realising you’re not real – that’s the ultimate adrenaline. But I’m too old for it – and you start feeling irresponsible when you have a family. I always received death threats, but they increased after Bruno. You have to have the mindset that if something bad happens everyone is going to be fine.”

Only time will tell if Sacha’s new characters played in a traditional movie setting will bring as much magic and joy as the main men – Ali G, Borat, and Bruno, but 90% of the magic was the interaction with ‘normal’ (and some not so normal) people, and Sacha’s ability to prejudice, racism and ignorance in a hilarious way.
