In the cut scene Bruno interviews LaToya Jackson in his chic LA apartment – after getting her to sit on his “chairs” – which are Mexican workers bending over – who then serve her sushi of the hairy body of a naked man. Bruno proceeds to steal her cell phone so that he can copy Michael Jackson’s number dowm.

19/06/09 - Bulls on parade! Bruno dresses as a bull, and gets out his dong for Madrid!

A day after paying homage to Britain's finest with his camp take on the uniform of the Queen's guards, Sacha Baron Cohen's screen character Bruno again pulled out all the stops to present his new movie in the Spanish capital.

Bruno trotted - literally - up to the film's Madrid premiere dressed as a bull - complete with horns, tail and hooves, and flanked by two muscle-bound bullfighters.

"Tomorrow I run with the bulls, señor," Bruno told the gathered crowd in heavily accented Spanish, before admitting it was the only phrase in the language he knew. Continuing in English, he revealed there was to be an after party in his hotel room, to which "all the hot guys can come".

17/06/09 - Bruno has had his arshenhaller lifted two centimetres and his shtupsimmer bleached and waxed especially for the london premiere!

Sacha Baron Cohen thrilled fans tonight at the London premiere of Bruno - dressed as one of the Queen's guards.

Bruno arrived at the premiere in Leicester Square wearing a sex-ed up guard's uniform complete with black leather hotpants and bearskin hat.

And the comic didn't disappoint waiting fans as he put on a show on a raised platform in character.

Bruno tells reporters that he has had his arshenhaller lifted two centimetres and his shtupsimmer bleached and waxed especially for the premiere. He went on to say how he finds Susan Boyle very cute, and that he loves a man with a bit of a beard!

He went on to say that Gordon Brown was uber gay and needed to 'wear some tight slacks, click those heels and say hello!

16/06/09 - Will Bruno do for Austria what Borat did for Kazakstan? Austrians get redy as Bruno premiers in London and Paris!

The Kazakh authorities were not too happy when Borat hit the big screen, however, once tourism to Kazakhstan was boosted they didn't seem to care all that much - but will Bruno do for Austria what Borat did for Kazakhstan?

Some Austrians are concerned that Bruno will not portray Austria in a good light, but others are relishing the prospect of Bruno-fuelled outrage.

But will they laugh as hard at Bruno? Ish dont fink so! A recent article on the ORF website said Bruno doesn't necessarily shed the best light on Austria".

It may partly be out of concern for Austria's image, already battered by the trial earlier this year of Josef Fritzl, who imprisoned his daughter and their children in a cellar.

Lisa Trompisch, a columnist on heute.at, was incensed by a recent interview with Bruno in the fashion magazine Marie Claire, in which he described Hitler as this country's "black sheep". "Ve're all proud of our country und are raised to try and achieve ze Austrian dream - find a job, get a dungeon und raise a family in it," Bruno went on.

But other Austrians seem to be secretly relishing the prospect of Bruno-fuelled outrage. There's been speculation in the British and the Austrian papers that Bruno is based on a real person, Alfons Haider, one of Austria's most well-known television presenters.

But Mr Haider, who hosts the Austrian version of Strictly Come Dancing, told me that there were only two similarities between him and Bruno: "I'm Austrian and I'm openly gay."

Mr Haider thinks that the Austrian sense of humour may be severely challenged by Bruno and his ambition to be the "most famous Austrian star since Hitler".

"The gay stuff is probably OK but the Nazi stuff - I'm not sure that people would like that," he said. "I personally don't like it that my country is always shown as a fascist, right-wing Nazi country. We have problems with the right wing as all European countries do, but it is not as bad as they show. This is a democracy."

In other news, as Boyakasha.co.uk had speculated, the Eminem stunt was rehearsed, and apparently went exactly to plan! Bruno flew in to the MTV movie awards last night dressed as an angel. However he clipped an object on the ceiling and was lowered head first in to the lap of Eminem!

After Eminem's crew lifted him off, Eminem proceeded to make his way out of the building. Bruno then asked if the real Slim Shady has stood up!

The stunt appears as it was staged, and other blogs suggest this is the case, however we do not know this for sure!

With the movie just over one month away we can expect Bruno to be appearing more frequently, pulling of similarly crazy stunts.

10/05/09 - Sacha Baron Cohen in hospital after bleaching pubes + new meinspace video!

Sacha Baron Cohen was rushed to hospital after he bleached his pubic hair trying to get the 'all-over hairlessness look'.

Cohen had heard that "all-over hairlessness is a popular trend in the gay community, so he thought he'd bleach all his hair so that it looked invisible," a source told the UK's Sun newspaper.

Cohen was rushed to hospital. "Shortly after having the procedure done he felt a burning sensation and it grew steadily worse," the source explains.

"He had a bad allergic reaction to hydrogen peroxide, which is a strong bleaching agent. It was so severe around a certain part of his anatomy that he couldn't sit down for three days. Filming had to be delayed for several days while Baron Cohen recovered.

'American Idol' judge Paula Abdul has admitted that she failed to realise she was being set up by Sacha Baron Cohen as the pair were filmed for the comedian's forthcoming film, 'Bruno'.

Abdul made the admission on US radio show the Johnjay And Rich Show, explaining how Baron Cohen fooled her into thinking that Bruno was abusing two Mexican men.

She explained: "I'm greeted by this futuristic dude with a Mohawk, and he's flaming. I walk in and there was no furniture except a chair. This guy Bruno introduces himself. He snaps his fingers and says, 'Gardeners'.

"These two Mexican guys come in, and they drop down to all fours. I see him paying them like, ten bucks."

Abdul said she left after Bruno kicked one of the men. "I said, 'Get me out of here. This is crazy. This is not funny, this is discrimination. This is abusive stuff going on here'."

The TV judge said that she remained unaware that she had been set up until weeks later, when the penny dropped. "At two in the morning I woke up in a sweat and I went, 'Oh my God'!" she said. "I'm dying, because you don't expect it."

Brüno has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) after the producers cut a number of scenes which saw an early version of the film given an NC-17 rating which would ban anyone under the age of 17 viewing the film.

It was reported that Bruno simulated sexual manoeuvres and other risky moves that were just too much for the MPAA.

It is not clear if other countries will also get the edited version or if it will just be for the USA. Either way, it is likely an unedited DVD version will follow the film with all the dirty scenes included.

"hi, I will be on Film 4, the best gay film channel on television"

02/04/09 - Brüno teams up with Bono, Chris Martin and Madonna to feed the world!

Sacha Baron Cohen has got Bono, Chris Martin (Coldplay) Madonna and Elton John to record a single for his latest movie.

The track is called 'Dove of Peace' and has already been part-recorded in the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The track mocks Band Aid and the lyrics include: “For people of Africa who live in hell/ They will never wear Chanel.”

Allegedly Chris Martin was laughing like a mentalist throughout recording and could just about get his lines out.

Sting and The Village People are also due to record lines for it this weekend. And Madonna and Sir Elton John are rumoured to be getting involved, too.

Bruno has been slapped with an NC-17 rating on its first submission to the Motion Picture Association of America because of numerous sexual scenes that the ratings board considers over the line, according to Universal Pictures.

These scenes include Bruno appearing to have anal sex with a man on camera. In another, the actor goes on a hunting trip and sneaks naked into the tent of one of the fellow hunters.

A Universal spokesman confirmed the rating on Sunday, saying: "On its first submission the film did not receive an R but it is far too early to say that there is any struggle to get there as the process is only at its inception.”

But Cohen needs to deliver an R-rated film to Universal, which will not consider releasing an NC-17 “Bruno,” according to an executive there.

The difference between an R and an NC-17 in terms of financial reward is vast. "Borat," which cost a piddling $18 million to make, took in $261 million in worldwide box office. Universal paid $42 million for the English-language rights to "Bruno," but will spend far more than that in marketing the film. Major Hollywood studios almost never release films with NC-17 ratings.

Cohen is currently appealing the decision while simultaneously struggling with cutting the film to suit the ratings board. But the ratings board, a secret panel of parents appointed by the studio-owned movie association, is notoriously inexact about what it requires to move from an NC-17 to an R.

Baron Cohen has butted heads with the MPAA before. Borat was given an NC-17 on its first go-round, and still ended up with a hilarious, outrageous scene in which he wrestled naked with his obese driver, ending up with his face in the man’s genitals and anus.

The spokesman said that Baron Cohen had shot a lot of material, and would be able to cut it without a problem. “With the quantity of material available, I cannot foresee a problem,” said the spokesman. “It's not even April and the film comes out July 10 so it's nonsense to say there's a struggle of any kind."

The Brüno production team had set up as many as 29 fake companies (such as 'Unterhaltungsfernsehen Deutschland') and accompanying websites in order to trick members of the public to participate in the new movie.

However, it looks like most of these sites have now been shut down as Sacha Baron Cohen's lawyers get busy before the launch of the new film

The Smoking Gun reports that Several websites shared the same front-page images and boldly advertising "world-class facilities, and state-of-the art equipment".

We all remember the legal trouble Sacha faced after the Borat movie, and so to stop the shitzen hitting the fan, Sacha's lawyers are on the case before the movie is even released.

In a five-minute scene, Bruno tries to seduce the Texas congressman and former Republican presidential candidate in a Washington hotel room.

The scene with Paul, filmed in early 2008, occurs about halfway through the movie, after Bruno gets the idea that you have to make a sex tape to become famous.

On the film set, after a brief exchange of pleasantries, a light bulb blows. Bruno apologizes for the technical difficulties and suggests that he and Paul wait in the other room while the crew fixes the light.

The other room, it turns out, is a bedroom. The lighting is low, and the film is now grainy—not unlike a sex tape—as it cuts to a hidden spy camera. There's a spread of Champagne and strawberries and caviar on a table.

Bruno tells Paul to make himself comfortable. Paul sits down on the bed. Bruno turns on some music and starts dancing. Paul is visibly uneasy but doesn't say anything at first. He picks up a newspaper and pretends to read it. Finally, Paul asks what's going on. "Don't worry about it, Dr. Paul," says Bruno, who then unbuckles his belt and drops his pants. At that point, Paul snaps up and storms out of the room.

As Paul is walking away, you can hear him say, several times, something like, "This guy is a queer!" "The word queer comes out of his mouth three or four times," says an attendee. A spokeswoman for Paul confirmed that the episode took place but declined to provide details. "We don't want it to distract from his message," said press secretary Rachel Mills. "Now is the time when people need to be listening to him on economic issues."

Mills, who was present at the taping, did elaborate on the "queer" line. "I heard him say 'weird,' " she wrote in an e-mail. "In any case, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Queer as Folk … it's not exactly a shocking term if that's what he did say." Mills also noted that Cohen's people were "very deceptive in their tactics." At the time, she thought they were "legitimate," but now confesses to some concern. "I'm familiar with his work, so you can imagine how I feel about it," she said.

16/03/09 - Sacha screens Bruno preview in Texas + Bruno strikes again in Alabama!

A couple hundred of lucky fans got a 22 minute sneak preview of the forthcoming Bruno movie in Texas last week. The three scenes on display confirm that the movie will take the same format as the Borat movie - documentary style.

Details of the scenes are below:

Scene one
Bruno adopts a black baby, and wants to feature the child in an avant-garde performance art project "Ich bin pushing the limits". He interviews several mothers and fathers to determine whether their children would be suitable to play guest stars, asking questions such as "Are they afraid of stuffed animals? Reptiles? Hornets? Would they be OK with being dropped off a four-story building, or willing to have liposuction? All the parents, worryingly answer "yes".

Scene 2
Bruno appearing on a talk show in leather pants, looking for Mr. Right. Members of the predominantly black studio audience are appalled by his in-your-face homosexuality, and they get even angrier when he brings out his adopted baby and shows them a self-consciously artsy photograph of the child posing as Jesus on a cross. Although it appears there are a few plants in the crowd to ask the right questions, the majority of them seem genuinely disgusted as they storm out.

Scene 3
Bruno decides to reinvent himself by going straight and changing his name to "Straight Dave." He stages a mixed-martial arts contest, which was shot last summer in Arkansas. When Bruno's ex-boyfriend crawls into the ring and the two start making out, stripping and rubbing all over each other, spectators in the conservative crowd holler, make anti-gay slurs and throw plastic cups of beer at them. They end up storming out, too. Alabama National Guard

In other Bruno related news Sacha tricked the Alabama National Guard into allowing him onto a post, giving him a military uniform and briefly letting him train with them!

Bruno allegedly exposed his thong while changing clothes, but was going well until a young cadet recognized Cohen and notified older officers who weren't familiar with the actor.

"It's an embarrassment to the Alabama National Guard," Staff Sgt. Katrina Timmons said Monday. "Since then we have put in protocols to make sure this doesn't happen again."

Guard officials who let Cohen and his crew into the Alabama base initially believed they were helping foreign journalists.

"They called and said they were a German affiliate of a TV station doing a documentary on what it was like to be in officer candidate school," said Timmons. "They wanted to know if they could come here and embed one person for a few hours up to a day."

The Huffington Post has video footage of 'Medium' star Patricia Arquette revealing how Bruno managed to crash the set, and how it disrupted filming.

Sacha Baron Cohen claimed to be a cousin of network head Ben Silverman, and managed to blag his way onto the set.

Bruno repeatedly interrupted a court room scene as a member of the jury. It sounds like he was doing the trademark Bruno finger waving implying 'nicht nicht' to the judge!

Nobody on set wanted to intervene as they believed he was related to Mr Silverman. It was only when they realised it was Sacha he was removed from set.

Yes, it is true. The Bruno movie release date will be pushed back from may 10th '09 to July 15th '09. The film will hit the box office at the same time as the 20th Century Fox comedy "I Love You, Beth Cooper," directed by Chris Columbus.

Me aint got a clue what this film is about, and me think they got the title wrong; it should be 'I glove you Beth Cooper'. Either way Bruno should mash this film at the box office.

Universal have given no reason as to why the Bruno film has been delayed.

Bruno managed to gain access to the set of the NBC show about a psychic played by Patricia Arquette and get into the jury box of a tense court scene. His repeated interruptions led to filming being halted as security staff were brought in to remove him from the set.

It was only afterwards that people present realised the gatecrasher's identity, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the incident.

"No one had a clue it was Sacha playing Bruno," one insider said. "It's amazing he was able to infiltrate the set and pull this off."

It remained unclear how the Borat star managed to get access to the set or whether he was secretly filming footage for his new film based on the character of Bruno, a gay Austrian fashion show presenter who first appeared on Cohen's breakthrough television series Da Ali G Show.

The scene from Medium had to be re-shot.

The New York Daily News reports on how Cohen has hired two gay prostitutes for a sex scene in his forthcoming Bruno movie.

Director Dan Mazer called on David Forest (who was last year linked to the death of a millionaire hedge fund manager) as he was prepared to do full frontal nudity, and could help cast another gay actors.

"We auditioned about 10 actors," says Forest. They finally settled on triple-X stars Paul Barba (usually billed as "Tony Capucci") and John Martel (known to fans as "Tyler Saint"). Cohen summoned Barba and Martel to the Aramano Hotel in Burbank.

"There's a scene where Bruno comes to the hotel with some guys," says Forest. "They're all trying to get Bruno to come upstairs for an orgy. Five guys are there. Two of them are my guys. Bruno apparently doesn't want to join the party, but he watches through the window. I'm told it's hilarious."

Sacha Baron Cohen was again spotted filming for the new Bruno film due out next year.

On Sunday 2nd November, Bruno crashed a rally in Los Angeles in support of Proposition 8, which would overturn the California Supreme Court’s decision earlier this year to legalize same-sex marriage.

Once the crowd realised who he was 'things turned nasty as protestors started heckling Bruno, and one person tried to attack him. He was quickly whisked away by his production team.

It looks like Sacha is finding it increasingly difficult to create any material without being spotted. How the new Bruno film turns out is anyone's guess!

13/07/08 - Bruno strikes again: Cohen stages cage fight - crowd gets caged homosexuals!

An Arkensas crowd arrived at the Fort Smith Convention centre expecting an evening of 'blue collar brawling', hot chicks and cold beer. However what they got was two men stripping down to their underwear, kissing and "rubbing one another", according to local police.

Organisers of the event had invited police to attend and tipped them off that a character named "Straight Dave" would goad a planted audience member into the ring for a fight, only to end up in a "romantic embrace".

"They said it was to essentially poke fun at wrestling - two guys rolling around on the floor, all sweaty," said Fort Smith police sergeant Adam Holland. The officers thought they were in on the joke, but were not prepared for what followed. It took police 45 minutes to clear the venue as the crowd went crazy throwing beer and chairs at main stage. The two actors had to escape through a pre organised side door as the crowd became increasingly enraged. Cohen and the team had again made all audience members sign a waiver before the event and displayed numerous signs saying the event and audience may be filmed. "

Dwight Duncan, president and CEO of Four States Fair Grounds in Texarkana said "We had a contract for cage fighting. We were deceived".

Ex Mossad Agent Yossi Alpher (pictured left) and Palestinian Ghassam Khalib were interviewed by Bruno in Jerusalem, Israel where Sacha Baron Cohen has been filming recently for the forthcoming Bruno movie. Alpher was contacted by Sacha Baron Cohen's agents and was asked to be interviewed by a German Rockstar to explain the Israel-Palestinian conflict to the youth of the world.

"Vat's zee connection between a political movement and food? Vy hummus?" Yesterday I had to throw away my pita bread because it vas dripping hummus. Unt it's too high in carbohydrates"

By this stage Alpher and Khalib had suspicions that the interview was some kind of joke. Alpher was reported saying after the interview that "they played it straight and square... We smiled at the idiotic questions and answered them patiently... We knew something ludicrous was happening but couldn't quite figure it out."

For the grand finale, Bruno joined hands with the interviewees and recited ‘a mind-boggling song about the epic Middle East conflict between 'Jews and Hindus.'

Only after the interview did Alpher realise he had been hoaxed by Sacha Baron Cohen, however a release form had been signed and a fee received for the interview, and so any legal action is highly unlikely.

Alpher accused Baron Cohen of "exploiting our tragic and painful conflict in the most cynical and deceptive manner" but admitted: "The end product will undoubtedly be hilarious. We'll try to be good sports about it."

09/02/07 - 20th Century Fox deny Bruno movie is definite.

Chris Petrikin from Fox has announced that although they have been in 'casual discussions' with Sacha Baron Cohen about a Borat follow up movie he said "at this point it remains too preliminary to discuss".

This statement appears to be a complete contradiction to the statement made by network owner - Rupert Murdoch (pictured right) earlier this year who said that Sacha Baron Cohen had "signed up to do a sequel for us".

22/01/07 - Bruno Movie a nicht nicht??

Despite Sacha Cohen signing a £22.3m deal with Universal Pictures, online rumours suggest that it may not be possible to create a follow up film to Borat. Sacha Baron Cohen was reported saying to Rolling Stone magazine "the [£22.3m] figure is inaccurate, the deal is just to see if it's possible to develop the movie". Cohen is also not sure whether the film will be scripted or reality-based or whether it will feature Bruno or a different character.

After the success of the Borat movie, and the brilliantly funny Bruno feature on 'Da Ali G show' critics question how popular a scripted attempt would be. It is however possible that Mr Cohen has already filmed a significant amount of Bruno footage in anticipation of a Bruno movie.

If a scripted movie was to go ahead, we should reflect back to 'Ali G in Da House', (Sacha Baron Cohen's first appearance on the big screen) which was completely scripted and proved significantly popular in the UK. So for now lets hope Sacha can work some magic, and hope that £22.3m is justified!

04/11/06 - Sacha Baron Cohen signs Bruno movie deal!

It has been reported that Sacha Baron Cohen has signed a $42.5m (£22.3m) deal for his next film to be based on his third alter ego 'Bruno' the gay Austrian TV presenter. Filming is scheduled to take place during 2007, and whilst there is no word on a director for Bruno yet, Jay Roach will again act as producer for Mr Cohen.
