Remembering Tony Benn

In memory of the main man Tony Benn, we take a look back at his interview with Ali G. Tony was perhaps the only interviewee to talk back to Sacha and challenge him.

Tony Benn was not afraid to speak his mind unlike many politicians (who you vote for and then find out they are sleeping with horses) who just reel off soundbites and cannot answer a question directly.

‘Say what you believe, believe what you say’

  1. Please repackage and reintroduce the Ali G interviews, without the laugh tracks. And, bring back jungle/junglist/reggae music, as it never really got traction here in America. I’m sure it would be easy for you to get a big deal with Netflix if you haven’t done so already. I’m sure I’m not the 1st fan to suggest bringing it back.

New interviews may not work, you’re too popular. You’ll need to find new victims.

As popular as the Ali G show was, many people did not see it. There is a new generation that would love your stuff.

  2. Can’t recall another time I’ve seen Cohen break character like he does when benn is talking about bitches. Or go for an actual handshake at the end, for that matter. Maximum respect!
